​MR WINSTON CHAN
​(CURRICULUM DIRECTOR AND SENIOR TEACHER)

​Mr Chan has been a Primary Science educator for more than 20 years. He spent 11 years at Tao Nan School, including 3 years in the gifted education programme.

With his vast experience in Science pedagogy, he inspires pupils by conducting unforgettable lessons. He makes Science concepts easy for the young mind to understand and apply.

As a PSLE marking supervisor over a span of 7 years, Mr Chan is well-versed in helping pupils craft answers in the open-ended section of the Science examination using a breakthrough technique which he developed.

​Mr Chan is the brainchild of the centre's curriculum and he devised the Answering Strategies Guide which helped improve the way students answer in open-ended section.

Ms Coty Chan
​(Managing Director and SPECIALIST Teacher)

Ms Coty conducts engaging Science lessons using discrepant events, project-based problem solving skills and analogies.

Coupled with the teaching of PSLE Science Answering Strategies, her lessons help students understand and apply Science concepts with increasing confidence.

Having a second degree in psychology, Ms Coty is committed to using differentiated instructions to cater to the various motivational needs and learning styles of her students.

Ms Coty is a former teacher of Tao Nan School. She is the co-developer of the centre’s curriculum. She is best known for her zest and dedication in nurturing and developing the full potential of her students.

Mr Kwek Teng Hui
​(senior TEACHER)

Mr Kwek has more than 40 years of teaching experience in the Ministry of Education, Singapore. An ex-HOD Science (25 years), lead Teacher (5 years) in Tao Nan School, he is a veteran at PSLE Science Marking Exercise, writing PSLE Science questions as well as teaching PSLE Science Answering Strategies.

As an enthusiastic educator, he uses interesting hands-on Science activities and spontaneous discussions to deepen student's understanding of their learning.

Mr Kwek was a Co- Author for Marshall Cavendish International (Singapore) book: Everyday Science for Primary Level. He was also invited to be a Member of the MOE Primary Science Syllabus Review Committee (2010-2011).
